My Scrapbook!
i
These bits from my travels, art-making with beloved collaborators, and pretty little moments of daily life have become treasures that I hold tight. Take a bite!
Hawaii is my spiritual home; a place gentle and invigorating enough to bring my true state of being out of its cautious, cracked shell and up to the surface.
It was here that I met God in a rain storm, tended fires in remote valleys, and became a molecule of salt water in the Pacific Ocean. The adventure, romance, grief, joy, and confusion—she held it all.
Hawaii is a mother like no other and the birthplace of my personal philosophies: living in symbiosis with the earth, community, free expression, cherishing elders, and the value of presence. Find the colorful stories of my time here at likethesunatmidday.com

Outside the Lines
This project explores the elegant yet confining lines of tradition, luxury, and culture. Though shiny and refined on the surface, the space between these lines can often feel hollow. The spirit within, and the realness it yearns for, remain the most interesting and valuable elements in the scene.

Spain
Charlotte called. She said she was madly in love with a Spainaird and they planned to travel around Europe for the summer, singing medicine songs and serving ceremonial cacao. When she asked if I’d like to tag along for the Asturias and Barcelona leg of their tour, I said yes.
In Spain, I found incredible natural beauty, proud culture rooted in millennia of tradition, and some sweet lips to kiss in las olas del Mar Mediterráneo.

Grounded Opulence
This photoshoot is a visual exploration of the innate luxuriousness of nature. The concept of luxury has long been held captive in expensive spaces of exclusivity. But with some careful thought, and a couple thousand hours on the greenbelt, I've decided that nature is truly the source of all that we find opulent. So how can we hold two estranged concepts together in a harmonious way? This shoot was our attempt at an answer.
I took a deeper dive in my essay “Essence of: Opulence”

Mallorca
The beauty here is so exceptional. It was the perfect backdrop for a few weeks of writing furiously, loving furiously, and dancing through the spaces in between. Te extraño Majorca.

Baby blues
Ah, Paris. Land of love, city of light. I came here seeking beauty, delight, and a new level of strength in myself. Following in the footsteps of Hemingway, Stein, Beech, and friends, and following the tugs of my heart, I found it all and then some.

Costa Brava
After being a fantasy in my mind for, quite possibly, eternity, the intricate wild coast of Spain became my present moment. My time here was a quiet retreat, rightfully elongated just enough for Catalunya’s blue jewel to settle into my bones and come back with me.

La Camino de Ronda
Northern California
My two best friends, who used to wander like the wind, found a cozy, hidden town along the Yuba River to finally put roots down. Between a few key pilgrimages to NorCal, their neck of the woods has become a home for me too.

Mexico
God, I love Mexico. While its vibrant towns, genius flavors, impressive artisanal works, and striking landscape are more than enough to constitute a top-tier destination, it’s the people that make this place truly special.
Here, I’ve found late-night Latin lovers, warm smiles atop cobblestone streets, and connection that transcends the language barrier of my Spanglish.
This collection of photos is small as of now, but I guarantee it will blossom as I continue to dance with the muse that is Mexico.

Natalie
Here you’ll find evidence of the perks of having a gorgeous best friend who indulges your creative impulses. I asked Natalie to pick out her favorite dress of the moment and roll around in a sensual swirl. She delivered!
